Text'Art Retreat

Last week was the annual Text'Art retreat at the cottage.  We followed a more informal format this year with each bringing her own work.  And of course, our days were interspersed with great meals and great conversation.  And even yoga every morning!  Kirby, the dog, made every effort to maintain his place in the porch doing his corpse pose.

Below are my dyeing efforts.  I had a couple of cotton knit cardigans  from Dharma and I had leftover dyes from teaching a snow-dyeing course this past winter.  I also made up some gray so that I would have fabric to use for our next 12 by the Dozen challenge.

And the cocktail hour!  We were missing two, and although we all had a good time, sorely felt their absence.

Arbor Gallery, Vankleek Hill

Last week I went on  a trip with Heather Dubreuil and Michele to Vankleek Hill to see Heather's solo show at the Arbor Gallery.  The town is a typical Ontario town with it's Main Street and old brick buildings perched on the Ottawa river.

The Arbor Gallery, a nicely converted old home with trees surrounding it and an old windmill tower next door.

A few pictures of Heather's pictures hanging inside - well displayed on the white walls.
